Girls Reserve Basketball

Coach Dave Geschwendt is entering his second season as the head coach for the seventh grade girls basketball team.  He is in his third season as a coach, spending his first year as the assistant coach for the eighth grade boys team.  Coach Geschwendt has also coached cross country for the last three seasons.

"My favorite part of coaching is helping the kids to enjoy the game and seeing their character develop.  I focus on three goals for the players throughout the season: First, have fun.   Second, become better all-around athletes.  And three, strive to win.  While it is great to see them be encouraged by success, there is also value in experiencing frustration and disappointment.  There is opportunity to grow and develop resiliency when you are challenged."

 When not working for Oyster River Middle School, Coach Geschwendt enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter.
